SUV are safer than other types of cars

Auto News: A study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) showed, that the car with a variant Sport Utility Vehicle and pickups, are safer for passengers in case of accidents.

In the IIHS study, the result that the SUV cars is more dangerous in a crash than a sedan or minivan.

This finding also suggests that car manufacturers have made great progress in designing a car in the last ten years. Another result of it is the SUV into a car safer.

IIHS comparing mortality data for vehicles in 2000 and 2001 and vehicles of the same age in 2008 and 2009. The result, SUV deaths accident was 44 to 16 million cases.
