Nissan announced the Nissan Green Program 2016

Auto News: Nissan announced the Nissan Green Program 2016 (NGP 2016). The program is focused in three areas: reducing carbon footprint, switching to renewable energy and increase the diversity of resources used Nissan.

Nissan's third medium-term plan is prepared after the number 1 position in selling the Zero-Emission Vehicles. Renault-Nissan Alliance aims to sell 1.5 million cumulative zero-emission cars.
In this program, Nissan is determined to be a leader in fuel efficiency issues. Average consumption of fuel cars Nissan sold in Japan, China, Europe and the United States, 35% more efficient than the 2005. Nissan introduces new cars with a system of front wheel drive hybrid, plug-in hybrid based on Nissan's unique technology, and the last generation of CVT.

Nissan was determined to become a leader in pressing CO2 emissions. The average car Nissan produces lower emissions 20% from 2005.
Nissan is ready to lead in the use of recycled materials. Nissan plans to increase use of recycled materials to 25%.

More and more consumers are demanding products in line with their values, including cars and trucks with low carbon. At the same time we are using technology to make our factories more green and efficient, said Charlos Ghosn, President & CEO of Nissan.
